♡ true to my SELF ♡

i realize the importance in recognizing the presence of people in my life for the whole of what they bring..

i understand that when i do not stay centered in my being that surely i miss opportunity to learn the greater value of the lesson(s) brought to me, and as such the lesson will be repeated over and again until i "get" it..

life on earth is a very interesting existence to be sure.. i find myself in great awe of just how complex life can be, yet it is so simple when i am able to graciously flow and be in a place of understanding..

people will come and they will go from our lives.. some leave trying to place baggage at our feet.. some will leave with a memory that is sweet like a fragrant flower in spring..

life is ever changing as this is the natural law of the universe - i am willing to undergo the changes and grow in my spirit - thankful i am ♡

Give up defining yourself - to yourself or to others. You won't die. You will come to life. And don't be concerned with how others define you. When they define you, they are limiting themselves, so it's their problem. Whenever you interact with people, don't be there primarily as a function or a role, but as the field of Conscious Presence. You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are. ~Eckhart Tolle

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. ~Mother Teresa

Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in  us. ~Marianne Williamson

If it is peace you want, seek to change yourself, not other people. It is easier to protect your feet with slippers than to carpet the whole of the earth. ~Anthony de Mello

When you give of yourself something new comes in to being... the world expands, a bit of goodness is brought forth and a small miracle occurs. You must never underestimate this miracle. Too many good people think they have to become Mother Teresa or Albert Schweitzer, or even Santa Claus, and perform great acts if they are to be givers. They don't see the simple openings of the heart that can be practiced anywhere with almost anyone. ~Kent Nerburn

It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start. ~Mother Teresa

Peace and war begin at home. If we truly want peace in the world, let us begin by loving one another in our own families. If we want to spread joy, we need for every family to have joy. ~Mother Teresa

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest person with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest person with the smallest mind.
Think big anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack if you help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you might get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

~Dr. Kent M. Keith
